Program Overview
Higher education is essential, but rising tuition costs prevent thousands of students from pursuing their full academic potential. At [TheBlackFriday.Deals](https://theblackfriday.deals/), we are dedicated to helping families save money on online shopping, and now we are giving back directly to higher education.
Our $2,000 Annual Scholars Program supports dedicated students enrolled in accredited post-secondary institutions across the United States.
Eligibility Requirements
✓ Who Is Eligible
- Current undergraduate or graduate student enrolled full-time in an accredited U.S. college or university for the 2026–2027 academic year.
- Holds a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Legal Refugee, or Humanitarian Parolee based on standard U.S. Federal Aid guidelines.
✕ Ineligible Applicants
- High school students who have not yet graduated prior to the Fall 2026 term.
- Employees, officers, owners, or direct family members of [TheBlackFriday.Deals](https://theblackfriday.deals/).
- International students holding temporary visas outside of recognized DoD schools.
Application Guidelines & Submission
To enter the selection pool, applicants must author and submit an original essay detailing the economic and historical impact of retail holiday sales.
Essay Requirements:
- Topic: “The History and Economic Evolution of Black Friday.”
- Word Count: Minimum 1,000 words.
- Format: Submissions must be uploaded as a
.PDFor.DOCXdocument. - Deadline: Submissions close promptly at 5:00 PM EST on October 31, 2026.

The selected recipient will be notified via email on or before November 28, 2026. Award funds are sent directly to the bursar or financial aid office of the winner’s accredited institution.
