Everything you need to know before you buy a 3D TV like Black Friday Panasonic GT30 Range 3D TV Deals Online

Panasonic’s new 3D TV range for 2011 includes the GT30 range, available in 42”, 46” and 50” screen sizes (models TX-P42GT30, TX-P46GT30 and TX-P50GT30 respectively).

The GT30 range features the new Panasonic Infinite Black 2 panel and the new VIERA Connect internet system.  Notably, Panasonic has done a lot of work on the design on the GT30, which looks stunning and sports an ultra-slim profile, making this one of Panasonic’s best-looking TVs to date.

In the GT30, Panasonic has included new and updated versions of the features included on their 2010 range of 3D TVs, including a USB recording function, and the VIERA Connect internet platform – you can use various internet based services through this and can access the Viera market, which is a kind of App store for your TV, which is really cool.

In terms of performance, the GT30 range is excellent.  The GT30 has an excellent quality anti-reflective coating, which reduces annoying reflections from a bright room.  Standard definition viewing is really good quality, as expected from Panasonic, and in HD the GT30 really is excellent, with fantastic detail and is right up there with the best plasma TVs available.

Response time is fast, making fast-moving action and games come across crisply and cleanly, and improved input lag on prior models is also excellent for gamers.  Improvements to the phosphorous composition used has also helped to reduce phosphor trailing compared to earlier models, so it is now very low, but not quite completely removed.

Black levels are very good, with Panasonic achieving some of the best black levels on the market. 3D performance is also excellent.  Crosstalk has been almost eliminated, such that it is almost invisible on all but a few occasions and the GT30 is brighter than most plasma TVs, which helps the 3D experience.  Depth of field in 3D is really good and the THX mode is now available when viewing in 3D, which gives more accurate colours.

Panasonic has achieved the best 3D quality on the market, and plasma is currently the best choice for 3D viewing.  Viewing angles are also quite wide, as we have come to expect with plasma screens, which is better than on LED/LCD TVs at present.

Summary

Panasonic has produced an excellent quality TV with the GT30 at a very reasonable price.  Image quality and performance is excellent and it’s hard to find many things that could be improved on this TV.

3D quality is excellent, right up there with the quality of 3D viewing only found on the high-end models in 2010, but available at a fraction of the price in the GT30.  P

Panasonic has also improved the design of their TVs with the GT30 range, making this an all-around excellent TV.  Highly recommended as one of the best 3D TVs in it’s category and price range available today.
