Oculus Rift Black Friday Priced $349 Only

Oculus Quest Black Friday – Facebook’s wired PC VR headset Oculus Rift S will be discounted to $349 from Nov. 28 through Dec. 2.

The deal aimed toward holiday season shoppers represents the lowest price we’ve seen for Facebook’s PC VR headset and Touch controllers since its debut in May. The headset made in partnership with Lenovo is designed around a simplified setup to replace Facebook’s original 2016 Rift PC VR system.

Oculus Rift S Black Friday-Cyber Monday Deal

While Quest is getting bundled with the three-episode Vader Immortal VR Series through the end of January (and we’ve heard no indication of potential price drops for the hardware), Rift S is dropping to $349 from Black Friday to Cyber Monday — typically the biggest shopping period of the year.

The price difference, then, means you can get a less expensive PC-only system for the holidays with Rift S for $349, or a dual-mode device with Quest for about $50 more which comes with a great Oculus-exclusive series bundled in with the purchase.

There are of course a lot of other VR-related discounts for Black Friday with steep discounts likely on Microsoft Windows Mixed Reality headsets, and it is possible there might be more surprises in store as retailers look to draw in shoppers.

Look for the discounted Rift S from Nov. 28 to Dec. 2 on oculus.com, Amazon and Best Buy.

Oculus Rift S, the company’s mid-generation hardware update to the Rift platform, only just launched a few months ago, but it’s already getting its first discount this upcoming Black Friday.

Lenovo has published its 2019 Black Friday ad, and to our surprise, it’s knocking $50 off the $400 Oculus Rift S.

It’s very likely that we’ll also see the same deal replicated elsewhere, including Oculus’ own online store and a host of official retailers such as Best Buy, Amazon, NewEgg, and more.

Launched back in May, Rift S is more of a remaster than a sequel to the original 2016-era Oculus Rift. With its inside-out tracking (no external tracking sensors needed), halo-style head strap, and higher resolution LCD panel, it makes for a pretty complete package for VR newcomers—provided you have a PC capable of playing VR games.
